Why is there no metadata appearing in my WAV files?

When you upload a WAV into DISCO, it will only show title metadata:

This is an unfortunate by-product of how WAVs work as a format.

Metadata doesn't really travel with WAVs as it does with other formats, such as AIFF or MP3. So even if you attach metadata to a WAV in a program like iTunes, when you upload or open it somewhere else, like DISCO, only the title field will be populated.

Adding metadata in DISCO

Luckily it's very easy to add metadata in DISCO. You can do this for single tracks, or multiple at once.

To add metadata to a single track, open the Track menu () and select Edit track information:

To add metadata to multiple tracks, select the desired tracks using multi-select, click the edit pencil, and select Add to Playlist Creator.

In the Playlist Creator menu (), select Edit All.

This will open a collective track information page for the tracks, where you can add the missing information and click Save.

The metadata will now appear on the tracks:

If all the tracks you want to edit are in a Playlist together, you can open the Playlist menu () and select Edit all track metadata.
